Yule Ideas for Pagan Families

Here are some ideas for a fun afternoon with the kids.

Sun Wreath rattle:

2 strong paper plates
some dried beans
stapler or glue gun
Construction Paper
Glue
Markers
Ribbons

Take 1 plate and put dried beans on it; you will want to use enough to make a noise if shaken; put the other plate on top upside down. Then glue or staple the plates together. Now decorate the plate to look like a Suns face. Ribbons on the edges of the plate rattle add a nice touch and make it very colorful. You now have a rattle. Now you can go out and celebrate the return of the Sun.

Bird Feeders
Obtain a pine cone. It is really nice if you can find one on a fall walk. Get some smooth peanut butter and place it all over the pine cone. Now roll the peanut butter covered pine cone in wild bird seed. Find a place in your yard and hang it up (where the neighborhood cats cant reach it). Now you can watch the birds feed all winter all.
