We Are Issuing A Challenge!

We challenge you to put back more than you take. Meaning, once a year, plant some endangered herbs in the wild. Once a year, show you care instead of just saying it. Do something seemingly small, but HUGELY affective. Do it for the children! Do it for the future! Do it for the God/dess. Do it for whatever reason suits your purpose, but just do it. It will cost you very little. A seed packet costs around a couple of dollars. With a little dirt, patience and love, those little seeds will become vibrant, viable evidence of your love for Mother Earth.

Points To Remember:

1. Make sure you know what plants are indigenous to your area. You might want to take a nature walk and find a patch of already existing herbs. Then all you have to do is add your plants to it.

Check with you local ranger or BLM manager to make sure that they are not trying to remove that particular plant. Also make sure that the plant you want to add will not impact the environment in a negative way (destroying plants already established etc.)

2. Plant the whole packet. Sometimes seeds just don't germinate. It's better to be safe than sorry.

3. Make sure your plants are old enough to survive in the wild. Unless you plan on tending to them frequently, they need to be well established plants.

4. It would also be best if you could start them out of doors. They need to be used to the variance of temperatures that wild plants have to face. If you need or want to start them indoors, make sure you 'harden' them before transplanting.
